| Like a lot of you, I'm wondering if I should trade-in my Z(2+2) for a GT-R. First step: Crunch the #s. I used edmunds.com Gas-guzzler calculator. [ http://www.edmunds.com/calculators/gas-guzzler.html ] Edmunds says: "You will not save any money by trading in your current vehicle for the fuel-efficient vehicle you have selected." Based on GTR 21mpg vs Z 24mpg, the GT-R will actually cost me $47 more in Gas each month. Truth be told, I'm really only getting about 20MPG on the Z, so that changes the whole story :) Edmunds now says: Only 384 Years(4,608 months) to breakever and being savings money on gas. Amount Saved on Gas (per month): $16.96. And now it seems like GT-Rs are starting to pile-up on Dealer Lots. OK, well maybe not pile-up but this Queens NY Dealer has 2 to unload in today's economy....Black in the ebay link below and a Grey GT-R parked next to it. Another GT-R was relisted with a $98K BIN, kinda strange(well, not really :)) since his original auction had a $112K "sold" price for this GT-R. So the time might be right to strike a deal on a new GT-R for some of you guys. But I think I'll just convert my 2+2 to a TT along with a GT-R steering wheel sticker and be happy.
